RAK #180 – Extra Tip for Delivery Guys
RAK #180 – we had some appliances delivered today, and the delivery guys took extra time being careful while removing the old items and bringing in the new ones, and also hooked everything up and tested it before they left. We gave them a generous tip, and, seeing as it was their last delivery of the day, also gave them water and cold beer. Free Beer totally counts!
RAK #179 – Random RAKnotes at Work
RAK #179 – another old standby…I left some inspirational RAKnotes in random places for coworkers to find. A few have caught on to my act, so now I am placing them in other buildings in our campus…more work for me, but I don’t mind, as long as it helps make someone’s day.
RAK #178 – Cleaned up the CFM
RAK #178 – I stopped by the Colorado Freedom Memorial briefly to again clean up trash and wipe down the glass…it’s such a peaceful and majestic place, I never tire of this activity.
RAK #177 – Donated my Time
RAK #177 – this week I donated my time to help with a workplace activity centered around ‘healthy living’; my friends that own a disc golf store provided a working demonstration of the sport at my office, so I spent a few hours helping set up the equipment and instructing coworkers on how to play. I think everyone had a great time learning something new, and gave me a chance to spend a few hours outside. Great day!
RAK #176 – Caught Up with a Good Friend
RAK #176 – we had a softball game that ended up being rained out, so during the delay I spent time with an old friend. We talked about life, and got caught up on all the current events. I also helped advise her with some life challenges, so the game rainout turned out to be a great thing.
That’s the awesome thing about life – you just never know what opportunities are going to present themselves, even under the guise of something negative. Good reminder!
RAK #175 – Let a Friend Borrow my Stuff
RAK #175 – this was was easy; a friend asked if she could borrow my set of bases for a kickball game. How could I say no? Ok, so it wasn’t random, but I’m still countin’ it! Plus, I got a nice little note attached…totally worth it!
RAK #174 – Extra Tip for Employees
RAK #174 – today I put additional tip money in the jar at a local place we stopped at for lunch. Hope it made their day better!
RAK #173 – Picked Up Trash
RAK #173 – I decided to pick up trash again in my neighborhood while walking the dogs…it’s disappointing to see all the litter than appear to be thrown out of cars or just dropped along the sidewalk, but it makes me feel better to be doing a small part to make my world better.
RAK #172 – Helped Clean Up
RAK #172 – this afternoon at my workplace, I needed some project information from a coworker and found him in the middle of helping clean out an office filled with boxes. I decided to help move the items while we discussed the project; I got the info I needed, and they finished the project faster. Win/win for everyone, and such an easy way to help someone else.
RAK #170 – Donated More Items to Goodwill
RAK #170 – Another round of ‘de-cluttering’! In order to minimize the abundance of ‘things’, I’ve had to make some tough choices…there are some nice shirts that I have been reluctantly holding onto for stubborn reasons, and finally decided to donate them. Although hard, it feels good to release that ‘hold’ our possessions can have over us…
