RAK #57 – RAK Notes for my nephews
RAK #57 – ok, so maybe this doesn’t exactly qualify, seeing as how my nephews aren’t really “random”. We gave them RAK Notes and candy, but we also gave them a handful of RAK Notes and encouraged them to hand out them on their own…so that counts!
And February is DONE! 🙂
RAK #56 – RAK Notes & candy for Spring Training staff
RAK #56 – We attended the Colorado Rockies & Arizona Diamondbacks Spring Training game at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick (whew!), and as we entered the stadium, my son passed out multiple RAK Notes and candy to the staff taking tickets, checking bags, and working security. They all loved it.
RAK #55 – RAK Notes and candy for Bashas employees
RAK #55 – we stopped by a local store to buy the M&M candy…which was a chore. I had no idea how difficult it would be to find the small, individually-wrapped packets of M&Ms. Seriously. They were nowhere to be found. Sure, I could buy just a big individual bag and pour them out into the unsuspecting hands of my RAK targets, but that could get messy quickly. And I looked at other options – KitKat, Hersheys, Reeses – but nothing quite works as well as the M&M packets. But really, it just comes down to me being unbelievably stubborn.
After three stops, I FINALLY found these at Bashas’ Grocery. As I checked out at the register, I opened the candy and passed them out to employees, along with RAK Notes. They all really enjoyed it, and I now had my sugary goodwill to go along with my notes. Huzzah!
RAK #54 – candy and RAK Note for TSA agent
RAK #54 – Our first RAK of the trip was handing a RAK Note and M&Ms to the TSA agent checking my ID. He was a little distracted, as it was insanely busy, but hopefully he took a moment later to read it and was inspired.
RAKproject – on the road again!
We’re taking the RAKproject on the road again – this time, to sunny Phoenix, Arizona. We’re spending time with family, friends, and seeing a couple of Spring Training games, and we’ll be spreading Kindness and Goodwill throughout the state! Stay tuned…
RAK Reader Submission – My Brother’s Kindness for a Stranger
I had to give props to my brother…an older gentleman that I know from DIA (one of the elevator guards) works a second job as a pizza delivery driver at night. He was robbed at gunpoint on a delivery, and taken for $58 and his cell phone. Within seconds of seeing the story, my brother Paypal’d me 60 bucks so I could give it to him.
You can’t know how it made the guard’s day, he was grateful and teary-eyed that someone he doesn’t even know wanted to make that effort. I’ve always known that my bro is as awesome as a person can get, now you guys get to know it too!
RAK #53 – RAK Note & candy at Starbucks
RAK #53 – this morning, I hit the Starbucks drive-thru. Shockingly, there was no one behind me in line…not sure I have ever seen that! But I gave the employee working the window a RAK Note and candy. Great start to the day!
Random Act of Kindness on Valentine’s Day
A young Pittsburgh couple had more to celebrate than just their love this Valentine’s Day after an anonymous couple paid for their $250 dinner. Reddit user gnomiegnomie posted that they were dining at Pittsburgh’s Eleven restaurant when an older couple at a nearby table decided to pick up the tab. The pair discovered the gift when they were delivered a note titled ‘Random Act of Kindness.’
They were unable to thank them in person, however, as the couple quickly left the restaurant after setting up the payment.
The Redditor already has an idea of how they’ll pay the kindness forward. ‘Probably going to do the same for a happy looking couple next Vtines day,’ gnomiegnomie wrote.

Random Act of Kindness on Valentine’s Day Will Warm Your Heart
On Valentine’s Day, 2013, a group of well-meaning people did something so sweet for strangers they met on the street. They handed out small bouquets of flowers to people they didn’t know, just so their day would be better. Many people were unaccustomed to such acts of kindness so they weren’t sure how to react.
There were many people who weren’t sure what to do..But decided to smile anyway! Â Read more! http://www.godvine.com/read/free-flowers-160.html
